‘I’m not sure about this one, Johnny.’ Ruby fell back on her sofa, balancing her mobile phone against her ear as she hungrily flicked to the back pages of Oh Yeah magazine.

‘Come on, girl. It will really help out an old friend of mine.’

Another friend? Ruby thought, loving Johnny even more

‘For some reason he’s having a busier time than usual,’ the little man continued.

‘And it’s just two weeks, you say?’ Ruby enquired.

Her eyes widened as she opened the exact page she was looking for.

‘Yep. Come on, Rubes. I’ll pay your travel on this one too. And you did say you wanted diversity.’

‘Hmm, and d i e versity, is definitely what I’m going to get!’ Ruby spelt out.

Johnny laughed at his smart little protégée. ‘So you’ll start Monday then? Please say yes.’

‘How can I possibly say no to you, Johnny Jessop? When you’ve helped me so much to change my life for the better.’

Ruby hung up and turning back to her magazine, hugged her knees in delight. Because there, in full glory on the Celebrity Parties page was a very ugly photo of Alexia Ramada at her recent birthday party at Cliveden.

With legs akimbo, minuscule pants showing and looking decidedly the worse for wear, Ruby knew that the delectable diva would not be happy with the accredited photographer – one Mr Ciaran O’Shea.

Ruby reached for the digital camera that was sitting on her coffee table and flicked through the photos of Cliveden she had taken for her mother. When she got to the unflattering one of Alexia Ramada, she deleted it promptly and laughed.

Hopefully now the impressionable young girl would see sense and dump him.
